All-new Class 95 FM, Gold 90.5 FM and 987 FM

Singapore’s Class 95 FM, Gold 90.5 FM and 987 FM have announced the launch of all-new line ups, content and music from March 2.

The move is a follow-up to MediaCorp’s recent announcement to reorganise itself to better serve its customer segments.

The English station Class 95 FM promises a bigger, brighter and bolder breakfast show with ‘Muttons In The Morning’ bringing in Justin Ang and Vernon A from 987 FM – where they had been hosting  the morning show since 2005.

“We’re so excited about the new show. ‘Muttons In The Morning’ will be the show that does things you’ve never seen or heard of before on Class 95’s morning show. We can’t wait to wake up with you and drive you crazy… I mean drive you to work every morning!” said Justin Ang.

Vernon A added: “What better way to usher in the Year of the Goat than with the Muttons!”

Gold 90.5 FM is looking to offer a witty and engaging start to the day with its breakfast show featuring Mike Kasem and Joe Augustin.

The hosts said: “We were put together as an experiment for a week and created a two-headed morning radio behemoth called ‘The Mike and Joe Xperiment’! Since that first day, it’s been no looking back. There’s no better home than Gold 90.5.”

The station also says its afternoons will get sexier with Jamie Yeo as the listeners’ office date from 2pm to 5pm.

987 FM is also revamping its line up with Gerald Koh and Joakim Gomez on the evening drive.

Gerald said: “It’s always very cool to do a show together with someone you know and trust.”

Joakim added: “Gerald has immense experience under his belt so I believe I’m in good hands to learn and contribute to our show. It’s a whole different ball game, and I look forward to seeing how this partnership turns out and entertaining you.”

987 FM’s 2013 Radio Star Tabitha Nauser will host the afternoon show on the station.
