Coconuts launches weekly podcast

 

Coconuts, an alternative online publisher, has launched The Coconuts Podcast, featuring stories from its eight newsrooms across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

The podcast claims to delivers impactful, weird, and wonderful reporting by its journalists on the ground in Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Yangon, and Bali.

The show will be hosted by Todd Ruiz, the Managing Editor, and Teirra Kamolvattanavith, the Associate Editor, of Coconuts Bangkok.

Its pilot episode talked about complicated relationship with motorcycle taxis and took to the streets of Hong Kong to cover the biggest protest in the city’s history.

The first two episodes are now available on Coconuts.co, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and Whooshka, with a new episode every Friday.

The podcast is also available through Google Assistant devices.
