Latest RAM ratings show slight change in market share

According to the first week data for 2015 from December 28 to January 3, leading stations in the four Indian metros have maintained positions but there are some changes in the market share.

Radio City continues to be at the top in Mumbai despite losing 0.5 percent share over the previous week’s 19 percent.

Big FM was second with 17.5 per cent share, but posted the highest Time Spent Listening (TSL) score of 6.

It was followed by Radio Mirchi with 14.5 per cent and Fever FM with 13.5 per cent share.

In Delhi, Fever FM is still leading with 19.2 percent share and the highest TSL of 5.11.

Radio Mirchi maintained its second spot with 13.1 percent while recording a drop of 3 percent and Radio City stayed third with 12.4 percent share.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi with 19.8 percent and Big FM with 15.7 percent held on to the top two spots even as they lost out on market share.

With 11.1 percent share, Oye FM overtook Radio One to take the third place while local station Friends FM also increased its market share to 6.4 percent.

Bangalore had the highest TSL among all cities and Radio City was leading here with a TSL of 9.16.

The station was also at the top spot in terms of market share with 23.7 percent, followed closely by BIG FM with 21.4 percent and Radio Mirchi with 18.4 percent.

Fever FM, Radio One and Red FM saw their shares drop slightly after showing some gains in the previous week.
