Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA) and Mango Radio, Davao entered into a partnership to promote mental health awareness to mark Mental Health Week from October 9 to 14.
Mango Radio is owned and operated by RT Broadcast Specialist Philippines Incorporated on 102.7 FM in Davao and 91.5 FM in Zamboanga. They educate listeners on different social issues while spreading the word of God.
PMHA is a non-government organization whose main goal is to advocate mental health and prevent mental disorders through education, information, and encouraging the individuals to speak out.
In their partnership, PMHA and Mango Radio will promote the awareness on mental health; address the concerns of the millennials on mental health and mental illness; and will provide a wider venue for information, education and communication on mental health.
Dominador Lopez and Precious Manliguez of PMHA Davao Chapter signed a memorandum of agreement with Eden David and lawyer Myra Wee of Mango Radio on Monday.
Manliguez said they are mainly engaged in educating students, parents, and faculties through lectures and forums in both private and public institutions.
She said their collaboration with the radio station will help in their advocacy on mental health.
