Mediacorp Singapore’s English station 938LIVE has rebranded to 938NOW and has also refreshed its programming and presenter line-up.

The station was originally launched as NewsRadio 938 in 1997 and was rebranded to 938LIVE in 2005. In January 2015, the station was relaunched with a number of a new programmes and a stronger focus on news.

It has expanded its content to include more tips and insights from experts in business, finance, health and wellness, medicine, parenting, food, technology, leisure, sports and travel.

The station’s new tagline is “In the know, on the go.”

Lead, Audience & Content for the English Segment in Mediacorp Michelle Chang told Channel News Asia: “As Singapore evolves into a smart city, there are more questions than answers about how technology is changing behaviour and is affecting education, jobs and our way of life. Our presenters will help listeners understand how the implications of current issues affect them.”

Donna Cheng, programme director of 938NOW, added that this comes at a time when most listeners want information which cuts through the clutter.

As a part of the new line-up, Susan Ng, Paul Sng and Keith de Souza will co-host the breakfast show Your Morning Fix from 6am to 10am.

Daniel Martin will host Body & Soul and The Working Lunch Between 10am and 2pm.

Eugene Loh will host the afternoon show On The Scene from 2pm to 6pm and the evening drive time will be helmed by former Channel NewsAsia anchor Timothy Go and Charlotte Mei between 6pm and 9pm.
