Now showing: The Mediacorp Experience interactive tour

With the completion of its move to a new office in Mediapolis, Mediacorp, Singapore, is opening its doors to the public with the launch of The Mediacorp Experience, whose opening on Thursday was attended by some 60 guests from the business community and the media industry.

It gives visitors a chance to experience behind-the-scene moments and learn about the history and future of broadcasting in Singapore.

For 90 minutes, visitors to the ticketed Mediacorp Experience will be immersed in an interactive journey through space and time.  Along the way, they can choose to take part in a TV production, have a go at being a news presenter, a radio deejay or just glam up for the cover of 8 Days magazine.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ernest Wong, Chairman of Mediacorp said: “Incorporating the Mediacorp Experience in our new home has been an ambitious undertaking and a great challenge. We hope that visitors of the tour can get a sense of how seriously we strive for quality and relevance in our content. These are important attributes that will determine our success in the face of increasing competition from new media platforms.”

Said Dasheng Toh, Head of Commercial Planning and Solutions, Mediacorp, “With the Mediacorp Experience, we are opening the inner sanctum of Mediacorp to the public. It’s a perfect outing for families, friends and tourists. And suitable for corporate and school outings as a learning journey.”
