India’s 93.5 Red FM donated $16,066 (Rs 1 million) as a part of its campaign to help and support its most deserving listener in Delhi.

Shikha was chosen the winner of ‘Raunac Ki Dilli – 10 lakh tere haath’, which saw many listeners sharing their stories.

She was chosen for her heroic struggle after she filed a complaint against her father who exploited her for two years and is now in jail.

She was felicitated by the station’s COO Nisha narayanan along with famous cricketer Gautam Gambhir at an event last Wednesday.

Narayanan said: “We are extremely proud to be part of an initiative which helped in changing the life of someone. It is very encouraging to turn radio into a medium for communication and awareness.”
