Submissions wanted for award-winning radio series

Hong Kong public broadcaster RTHK has put the call out for submissions for its award-winning programme Asian Threads.

The show, which airs on RTHK Radio 3, is going back into production shortly to begin its next season in October.

This year’s theme is transformations.

Asian Threads’ producer and presenter Reenita Malhotra Hora told Asia Radio Today that entrants should ask themselves: “What epic experience has transformed you and how? How do you interpret the meaning of “transformation”?”

The stories must have an Asian connection.

Earlier this year, Asian Threads won Gold at the New York Festivals awards for a documentary about The Girl in the Green Dress.

It told the story of a Pullitzer prize winning photo, which shows an 11-year-old Afghan girl, standing amid several dead people after a suicide bomb blast in Afghanistan.
