One of our most commented-on international reports this year has been Norway's switch over to digital radio.
The proponents of the analog switch off have put forward the benefits of going fully digital, such as lower costs and more channels, but, judging by some of the comments
on our pages, not everyone in Norway is as convinced as those who have organised the switch over.

After adding to its global reach with Bangladesh earlier in 2017, RCS has now partnered with The Monnect Group in Myanmar.
RCS engineer Somchai Sonkrud installed the integrated GSelector and Zetta products in Myanmar and trained the MI Radio staff.

Radio’s reach in America is larger than any other format and continues to grow year-over-year. Nielsen’s latest Comparable Metrics Report
(graphic below) reported that radio reaches 93% of U.S. each week.

Norway is set to be the first country to shut down FM radio, beginning in 2017.
The Norwegian Ministry of Culture announced this week it has set the date for the shut down, making it the first country to move away from FM radio entirely. The country is set to adopt Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) as the national standard.
The proposal was first introduced back in 2011, and the government has confirmed that the country is capable of meeting the requirements for a smoooth transition to digital.
