96.3好FM is Singapore’s newest Chinese radio station

SPH Radio has launched 96.3好FM (96.3 Hao FM), an all-new Chinese infotainment radio station, in Singapore.

SPH Radio was awarded the 96.3 FM frequency in March by the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA), and since then it had been preparing to launch the country’s first Chinese station in 23 years.

96.3好FM is targeted at bilingual Singaporeans aged 45 years and above. The station aims to take them down a trip on memory lane, featuring classic hits by artists like Wan Fang, Winnie Hsin, Wakin Chau, Faye Wong, Jacky Cheung and local Xin Yao favourites.

Jing Yun, Carine, (菁云), De Ming (德明) and Jie Qi (杰奇) will helm the morning drive time from 6am to 10am, delivering the latest news headlines and current affairs discussions; Anna Lim (安娜) will share lifestyle and health segments from 10am to 1pm; while Li Yi (丽仪) and Guo Xian (国贤) will be on-air from 4pm to 8pm, on the evening drive. Wei Wen (伟文) will be on at night with a playlist of classic ballads from 8pm to 12am.

Sim Hong Huat, SPH Radio's General Manager, said: “We're excited to bring Singaporeans this brand-new station, which is a refreshing mix of music and a wealth of informative programmes that add towards all aspects of an active, meaningful lifestyle. The synergy we have forged with the SPH Chinese Media Group will ensure 96.3好FM puts forth timely and useful news and updates, which many listeners appreciate.”

Carine Ang, Senior Programme Director for 96.3好FM, said: “I'm delighted that we have gathered a wonderful and enthusiastic team for 96.3好FM. The team has been working conscientiously over the past few months, carefully curating the station's playlist. Since our test run in December 2017, we have been deeply encouraged by the positive feedback from our listeners and we'll only strive to do better.”

As part of the station's launch, 96.3好FM has partnered Royal Caribbean International for a special station launch cruise sailing in March 2018. This will be 96.3好FM's first sail-off with listeners on Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas, where fans will get to spend time with the radio personalities of 96.3好FM.

The station is also available for online streaming at www.fm963.sg
