India’s Fever 104 FM has launched a campaign to addresse the rising number of cases of dengue fever in the city of Mumbai.

The HT Media owned station launched the initiative after its morning show RJs Rangeeli Ruchi and Glenn noticed a steep rise in callers complaining about various parts of the city being infested with mosquitoes.

They confirmed this with the city’s municipal corporation – BMC, and decided to launch a fumigation drive as a preventive measure.

The campaign also aims to educate listeners about the steps and precautions they should take to avoid dengue.

Popular Bollywood stars like Ranvir Singh and Sonakshi Sinha have also joined the campaign along with BMC officials.

Commenting on the campaign, Harshad Jain, Business Head, Radio & Entertainment HT Media said: “With this campaign we are asking the people in Mumbai to inform us about the affected areas they know and Fever, along with BMC will help eradicate the problem.”
