Malaysia’s Astro group station Melody FM is collaborating with local NGO Magnum Cares for a treasure hunt where listeners can share in more than RM11,000.

The ‘Magnum Run For Happiness, Shop For Surprises’ will be held in Kuala Lumpur’s Leisure Mall, Cheras on June 21, will be hosted by the Chinese station’s announcers Phoebe Yap and Dragon Loong.

The treasure hunt is being organised so that all the items picked up during the trail will be donated to Tong Xin Old Folks Home.

Three grand prizes and seven consolation prizes up are for grabs for participants.

Winners take home $1551 (RM 5,000), the first runner-up and second runner-up will walk away with $930 (RM 3,000) and $310 (RM 1,000) cash respectively and there are seven consolation prizes of $93 (RM 300) cash.

Interested listeners have to register in a team of four at and fill out a simple slogan mentioning reasons they wish to take part in the contest between June 2 and June 15.
