RadioAsia 2016 to open with session on ‘Storytelling: The Power of Radio’

 

This year’s RadioAsia Conference, to be held in Beijing, China, from April 25 to 27 will open with a session on Storytelling: The Power of Radio.

The session will be chaired by Barry Keohane, Media and Communications Specialists, Australia.

Barry has a background in commercial radio operations, management and consultancy.

Over the past 20 years he’s been involved with content development and talent coaching for leading media companies, including SCA, ARN, Click Radio (Thailand). Barry was also in China for three years as General Manager of Content for 10 radio stations. 

The session will address various aspects related to the art of storytelling on radio, including how to tell the story in an engaging way? How to use the special qualities of sound alone? How are mobile phones offering a new dimension to storytelling?

The session will also feature Niken Widiasituti, Director General, Information and Public Communication, Ministry of Communication, Informatics and Technology, Indonesia.

China National Radio will discuss ‘Radio’s Unique Position in the New Era’.

Wolfram Tech from Germany will also make a presentation on Storytelling: Six Secrets to get Attention from Audience’ during the session.
