RRI Jogjakarta to host nationwide team contest

RRI Jogjakarta, a station belonging to Indonesia’s public broadcaster Radio Republic Indonesia (RRI) has been picked to lead a competition to produce the best local radio programme.

Every two years, RRI holds the Jambore Siaran Nasional (National Broadcasting Jamboree) among its stations in 70 cities.

In 2015, Jogjakarta will organise the challenge that will see stations aim to create an original programme with a team made up of a producer, presenter and reporter.

The competition is a team-building exercise which aims to raise standards and introduce best practice at the public broadcaster’s local stations.

In 2013, the city of Jambi organised the Jamboree, to design the best local website.

RRI Jakarta won that contest followed by RRI Bogor and RRI Palu in third.
