Malaysia’s Sinar FM organised a ‘Karaoke Kenduri’ across various wedding locations for its listeners in March.

Sinar FM is the number 2 Malay station in Malaysia with a total reach of 3.7 million listeners and its breakfast show Sinar Pagi is extremely popular with a total audience reach of 1.9 million every week.

As a part of the activity, listeners were asked to invite Sinar Pagi presenters Salih Yaccob, Krill Rashid and Raja Azura to join in their wedding celebrations with a Karaoke band.

More than 200 entries were received and the Djs visited four wedding locations across Klang Valley.

These included Taman Ampang Utama in Ampang and Bangsar Sports Complex where local actress and singer Rafidah Ibrahim also turned up to entertain guests.

Other locations were at the Hall of Sultan Alam Shah Museum in Shah Alam and Hall Dato ‘Ahmad Razali in Ampang.

The lucky brides at the weddings attended by the ‘Karaoke Feast’ also received cash vouchers and gifts from Sinar FM.
