FM Pakistan Community Media Network (FMPCMM) launched ‘Radio Week’ to commemorate World Radio Day (WRD) 2015 with the support of stations across the country.

WRD was proclaimed by UNESCO in 2011 to encourage major networks to promote access to information, freedom of expression and gender equality over the airwaves.

It will be celebrated on Friday, February 13.

FMCPMM is a movement to promote community radio in Pakistan and it also campaigns for broadcast development and ICT &T training.

It will arrange live radio shows, road shows, quiz competitions and events at educational institutions and messages from celebrities to mark the occasion.

Another station, FM100 Pakistan Network Radio will commemorate WRD with a Live Talk Show in Urdu and English on February 12 and 13.
