ABU Prizes 2016: Radio Finalists Announced

The Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) has announced its list of finalists for the ABU Prizes 2016.

The ABU Prizes aim to promote excellence in Radio and TV production in order to raise educational and cultural standards and to strengthen international understanding among the people of the ABU member countries and regions.

This year, the ABU Prizes have more than 270 entries across 13 categories – 90 entries for Radio and 181 for TV.

The pre-selection has been done through correspondence by more than 50 independent juries nominated among ABU members.

A top level jury of industry professionals is going through the finalists in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to choose the winners. The Radio jury is chaired by AsiaRadioToday’s Steve Ahern (centre front of photo).

Winners will be announced at ABU Prizes Award Ceremony during the 53rd ABU General Assembly in Bali on October 24.
