ABU Prizes 2020 Finalists announced

The Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Prizes 2020 has announced its finalists.

The ABU Prizes aims to promote the excellence in radio and TV production in order to raise educational and cultural standards and to strengthen international understanding among the people of the ABU member countries and regions.

The categories for radio include Drama, Documentary, News Reporting, Community Service Announcement (CSA), Docudrama, On-Air personality and Radio ABU Perspective Award.

ABU Perspective Award will be awarded to a programme that best delivers the message of ABU perspective on the theme of global issue chosen by ABU members and illustrated through their local issue in any form.

Theme for 2020 is “Respect” – understanding the difference of others which includes recognizing and embracing yourself and others.

For the first time ever, the ABU Prizes Award Presentation Ceremony will be held virtually this year on Thursday, December 10 at 2 p.m. MYT/SIN (GMT+8).
