Asia Media Summit in Incheon

Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) in collaboration with its partners and international organizations is organizing the Asia Media Summit (AMS) in Incheon, Korea, from May 24 to 26.

The conference provides a unique opportunity for broadcasters in the region to share their thoughts on broadcasting and information.

Decision makers, media professionals, scholars, and stakeholders of news and programming from Asia, Pacific, Africa, Europe, Middle East and North America attended this annual conference.

The Summit aims to revitalise, reenergise and reinvent the dimensions for quality media content as traditional broadcasting is being constantly challenged by changing audience demands, social media and other competing platforms, making it imperative for Broadcasters must be able to harness new technology, collaborative spaces, and innovative formats to transform their media content for a wider audience.

Key sessions on day one include ‘Asian Content Landscape’, ‘ICT and the Evolving Broadcasting Environment’, ‘Compelling Content and New Ways of Telling the Story’ and ‘Diversity vs Diversity: Coexistence of Local Culture and Globalised Content’.

Day two will feature sessions on ‘International Joint Production and Investment Strategy’, ‘Raising Asian Content Value: Proposal for an Asian Content Bank Project’, ‘Monetising Content and Dealing with Copyright Issues’ and ‘Looking Forward: Vision for Cutting-edge Content’.
