Big FM presenter in Guwahati wins award

Indian network Big FM’s presenter MJ Sujita was honoured as the Best Radio Jockey in Guwahati by at the first edition of Maya Media awards.

Guwahati is the capital of the north-eastern state of Assam.

The awards recognise the achievements of people who bring laurels to the society at large.

The award was presented to by the Vice Chancellor of Assam Agriculture University, Kamal Malla Buzarbaruah in presence of Governor of Assam, Banwarilal Puruhit and other dignitaries of the state.

Sujita hosts the woman magazine show, 'Duporor Rodali' on weekday afternoons.

On Sundays, she presents 'Axomor Xuodi Maat' from 9 am to 11 am, covering Assamese culture, rituals and traditions.  From 7 pm to 9 pm, she focuses on Assamese mobile theatre in her show, 'Green Room'

Speaking on the achievement, Sujita said: "It is a surreal experience to be bestowed with this award and receive such overwhelming love from the people of Guwahati."
