Guess who won BIG at Golden Mikes 2014?

92.7 Big FM, India’s largest FM network, walked away with top honours including ‘Station of the Year’ at the Golden Mikes awards, which celebrate the best in Indian radio.

The network had earlier won the honors for being Best Radio Broadcaster of the Year two years in a row in 2011 and 2012.

This year, its list of winners include ‘Best First Time Creative’, ‘Best on-ground promotion by a single station for a client’, ‘Best Radio Media Innovation’, ‘Best on-air Promotion by a single station for self’, ‘Best Public Service Initiative by a Radio Station’, ‘Best Use of Branded content or sponsorship on Radio’, ‘Best first time effective use of Radio’ – and ‘Best Single Commercial Public Service Initiative’.

The awards saw 537 entries across 41 categories received by advertising agencies, production houses and radio stations.

A total of 80 awards were handed out, including 21 Gold, 27 Silver and 27 Bronze metals.

After BIG, Kerala-based Radio Mango also had a good year, finishing a close second with two gold, one silver and five bronze metals.

Among the other radio winners, Radio Mirchi got seven awards, Red FM won six, Radio Mantra got four, My FM won two Fever104FM, Indigo 91.9 and Radio City 91.1 got one each, 

Commenting on the awards, Mr. Ashwin Padmanabhan, Business Head – 92.7 BIG FM said: “We feel extremely proud to be acknowledged for our various campaigns and shows. We will continue to strive to present our listeners with outstanding entertainment”.
