Radiodays Europe’s Podcast Day, has announced the team of Hunting Warhead podcast as speakers for its 2020 edition. Podcast Day is a popular event for podcasters, innovators, creators and will be held on October 26.

This year, the event has been taken online due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic; the date in October was too short for an in-person event to be held with the safety concerns for participants and speakers plus current travel and event restrictions in place.

Hunting Warhead is a co-production of CBC Podcasts and the Norwegian newspaper VG.

It follows the journalists and police on a global mission to expose the darkest corners of the internet. What they discover shocks them.

Host Daemon Fairless tracks down the investigators, survivors and criminals themselves. He is also the author of Mad Blood Stirring: The Inner Lives of Violent Men. He's worked as a producer with CBC for more than 10 years.

Håkon F. Høydal is an investigative journalist working for the Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang (VG). Since 2013, his reporting has focussed on cybercrime, most often related to “revenge porn” and online child abuse. Høydal has also covered the drug war in the Philippines, forced marriages of girls in Iraq, and the new rise of psychedelics.

Chris Oke is a story editor and Senior Producer with CBC Podcasts, where he works on investigative narrative series such as Someone Knows Something, Uncover and, most recently, Hunting Warhead.
