Indian entries lead Asian finalists at New York Festivals Radio Awards

 

The New York Festivals Radio Awards has announced its 2019 Finalists.

Entries were judged by the Grand Jury on production values, organization, presentation of information, creativity and use of the medium.

All entries achieving Finalist status proceed to the medal round.

33 entries from radio networks in India have achieved the finalist status – highest among entries from Asia.

10 of these are from Red FM,  Eight from Radio City, seven from Big FM, three from Radio Mirchi, two each from Club FM and Ishq FM, and one from Radio Mango.

Bangladesh has three finalists, all from Radio Masala.

United Arab Emirates has six finalists, all from Club FM 99.6.

South Korea has three finalists – two from Korea Broadcasting System (KBS) and one from Busan English Broadcasting.

Qatar has two finalists from Al Jazeera News Network and Taiwan also has two finalists from Radio Taiwan International.

The winners will be honoured on June 24 at the annual gala in New York City.
