Indigo 91.9 enters record books with its band of presenters

India’s international music station, Indigo 91.9, Bangalore, has entered the Limca Book of Records for being the country’s only station to have its RJs form a band and jam live on stage.

On World Music Day last June, presenters from the station had come together as a band to perform in front of a live audience.

The band sang popular numbers from every decade since the 60s.

The recognition came even as the station plans to create more experiences for this year’s World Music Day on June 21.

Speaking on the occasion, Satyanarayana Murthy, CEO, Indigo 91.9 said: “For World Music Day last year, we knew we had to go big and dedicate the day to all things music whilst showcasing our multi-talented RJs too. They hit the right notes and performed to a packed audience at Indigo Live Music Bar. It feels great to have created this national record and for being recognized.”
