Kiss92 records highest growth in cumulative listenership

Singapore Press Holding (SPH) Radio’s Kiss92 FM recorded the highest growth in cumulative listenership among English radio stations in the latest Nielsen radio survey.

The station’s cumulative listenership now stands at 645,000 – a 3 percent increase from the previous Nielsen radio survey conducted in September 2014.

Kiss92 is Singapore’s only radio station targeting women aged 30-50 years old.

The three year-old station provides in-depth women and family content, coupled with adult contemporary music.

Jamie Meldrum, Senior Program Director for Kiss92 and ONE FM 91.3 said: “It is amazing to see the continuous growth of Kiss92. We’re a very young station and we’re very thankful for the support we’ve had from our fans over the past three years. It truly motivates us to do better and more for our fans.”

SPH Radio also manages and operates English station ONE FM 91.3 and Mandarin station UFM 100.3.

UFM100.3 garnered 330,000 listeners during this period when the station ran its annual U1000 countdown that allowed fans to vote for their favourite 1000 mandarin songs.

ONE FM 91.3, which is just six months old, had a cumulative listenership of 243,000.

It is targeted at males aged 30 and above, featuring artists like Bon Jovi, Guns N’ Roses, Queen, Lenny Kravitz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Nirvana, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and more.

The station is set to unveil its full Breakfast Show line up on July 6.

Sim Hong Huat, General Manager of SPH Radio, said: “This set of results clearly shows the effort the SPH Radio team has put in. We got the most growth for Kiss92 among all English radio stations, our newest English radio station, ONE FM 91.3 got superb results in its survey debut and UFM held its own in this wave.”
