Malaysian radio duo host live streaming show on Facebook

Malaysian radio personalities, Faizal Ismail and Fara Fauzana have paired up for FBI Live, a platform that utilises Facebook live streaming application to interact with their listeners or viewers.

Streaming live from home, Ismail, who is also known as FBI, and Fauzana broadcast their own live show daily.

FBI Live goes on air live twice a day. At 3pm, viewers can catch ‘Buat Apa Tu?’ a segment that keeps viewers entertained at work. At 9pm, the duo will be accompanied by guest celebrities in the ‘Artis Masuk Bilik’ segment.

“Broadcasting has always been my passion. Unlike radio, doing a live streaming show requires more planning and effort as we need to keep our content engaging and interesting,” says FBI, who was the founder of FBI Live.

“I was thrilled when FBI invited me to co-host the show with him. He has always been my on-air partner and we have the chemistry which is indescribable. It is a joy to work with him once again, especially on the most unconventional platforms. We get to be ourselves and our followers get to truly see who we are,” says Fara Fauzana.

FBI Live videos have garnered more than 1,000,000 views on Facebook and Instagram since its inception. The duo, which started collaborating in early 2018, has become social media sensation with an average of 30,000 viewers per show. Its official Facebook page, Faizal Ismail FBI has approximately 1.8 million followers.

“The media landscape has evolved. It has also changed the way we consume information and entertainment. Broadcasting from social media gives our audience the opportunity to watch and interact with us at their own space,” says Faizal.

“What is unique about FBI Live is the genuine interaction that we have with our viewers. They get to see the comments posted by others. This also gives us the immediate feedback and help us to improve,” says Fara.
