Mediacorp took eight out of the top ten spots in Singapore's latest Nielsen Radio Diary Survey.

Conducted between September and October 2018, the survey tracked radio listenership of over 2,000 people aged 15 and above, with results weighted by age, sex and race to be representative of the Singapore population.

SPH Radio's Money FM 89.3 had the fastest growth of any station, gaining 59% more listeners than last survey to a total of 89,000 listeners.

Overall, SPH Radio's stable of five stations saw growth of 2% since the previous survey, putting the network's total listenership at 1.46 million. Besides Money FM 89.3, SPH Radio's UFM100.3 saw a 10% increase in listeners to hit 404,000.

Collectively, Mediacorp's 11 stations reach 78% of the market, up 1.2% from the last wave.

CLASS 95, with weekly listenership at 18.8% clinched the top position in the bi-annual radio survey.

Closely following CLASS 95 are Mediacorp’s YES 933, LOVE 972 and CAPITAL 958, which remain Singapore’s top three Chinese radio stations with weekly listenership at 18.5%, 17.9% and 15.9% respectively. Mediacorp’s Warna 94.2FM, GOLD 905, 987 and Oli 968 remained in the top ten.

Mediacorp’s Chief Customer Officer Irene Lim said: “We’re delighted that CLASS 95 is number one and even happier that Mediacorp continues to dominate eight out of the top ten spots. Today’s results endorse our continual efforts to understand our listeners, curate the music they love and create content that engages them on a daily basis.”

SPH Radio general manager Sim Hong Huat said: "We are pleased with the overall growth for SPH Radio. The increase in digital listenership across all five stations is definitely a positive sign as radio consumption habits change with the times. This has been a great year for SPH Radio and our audience can look forward to more exciting things to come as we continue to deepen our engagement with fans and partners."
