Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, Mumbai gave away a dress worn by Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit in the new hindi film Dedh Ishqiya (One and a half Love Story).

A romantic comic thriller, the film marks Madhuri’s comeback in a lead role after many years. Once the most famous actress in Bollywood, she had moved to the US and started a family there.

A pun on the title of the film, the contest – called ‘Dead Ishqiya’ (Dead Love Story) asked listeners to share funny incidents from their life where a potential romantic episode finished even before it could start.

Hosted by self-confessed film buff RJ Neha, the contest ran on the station’s mid morning show ‘Dheemi Local’ which features songs from the 90’s, when Madhuri Dixit was the top heroine in Bollywood.

The prize was an ornate Indian dress called Lehenga Choli, which Madhuri wore in the film while paying the role of an aristocratic lady.
