Indian network MY FM’s RJ Viny was awarded the ‘Radio Personality of the Year’ at the 12th edition of Association of International Broadcasters (AIB) festival in London.
Viny, who hosts the breakfast show at MY FM’s Indore station, is the first presenter from the country to be awarded at AIB.
She was awarded for her campign ‘Ek Baar Phir maregi Nirbhaya’(Nirbhaya will die again), which highlighted various issues related to women’s safety after the brutal gang rape and murder of a girl in Delhi a couple of years ago.
The campaign had also won an award at this year’s New York Festivals under the Best Human Interest Story category.
