Podcast Day announces speakers

Radiodays Europe’s popular Podcast Day, the event for podcasters, innovators, creators, producers has announced speakers for its 2020 edition on October 26.

This year, the event has been taken online due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic; the date in October was too short for an in-person event to be held with the safety concerns for participants and speakers plus current travel and event restrictions in place.

The lineup of speakers will include:

Alexandra Adey, UK Partner Manager & Producer at Spotify. She is an alumna of the Radio MA at Goldsmiths and started her career as an assistant radio producer at IMG Productions. Prior to joining Spotify in March 2018, Alex spent 2 years as the Digital Content Manager at audioBoom.

Earlonne Woods, co-host and co-creator of Ear Hustle. Woods co-hosted Ear Hustle from inside prison until this year; now, post-incarceration, he co-hosts from outside San Quentin. Ear Hustle offers insight into daily life inside prison and post-incarceration, shared by those living it.

Nigel Poor, a visual artist who explores the various ways people make a mark and leave behind evidence of their existence. Poor's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Nigel Poor and the Ear Hustle team work in the San Francisco Bay Area, both in San Quentin State Prison’s media lab and from offices on the outside, to produce stories that are sometimes difficult, often funny and always honest.

Julie Shapiro,Executive Producer of Ear Hustle, and also executive producer of Radiotopia from PRX – a curated network of extraordinary, cutting-edge podcasts.
