Prashant Panday, Radio Mirchi’s Executive Director and CEO, has been promoted to the role of Managing Director and CEO.
The company has described Panday as one of the most illustrious names in Indian radio and praised him for bringing the Radio Mirchi brand to both national and international prominence.
An Engineering graduate, Panday joined Mirchi’s owner Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL) in August 2000 having previously worked in advertising, banking, FMCG and other media.
Over the past 14 years, the company says he’s taken Radio Mirchi to an enviable position with revenues of US$63 million (Rs. 385 crores) and Profit after Tax (PAT) of nearly $14 million (Rs. 84 crores) in FY 2013-14.
As well as a speaker at various industry forums, he served as a member of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s committee on fighting piracy.

Operating in 32 Indian cities, Radio Mirchi is also now on air in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain – the first Indian radio brand to go international.
