Radio City launches in Kolhapur

Indian network Radio City has launched on 95 FM in Kolhapur, its 11th station in the western state of Maharashtra.

Its existing stations in the state include Pune, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Sangli, Nanded, Jalgaon, Akola, Nagpur and Nashik.

The station was launched by Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan who introduced its presenters and shows to the listeners.

Popular Marathi actress Sai Tamhankar took the listeners on a city tour as a part of the launch. 

A grand rally was organized from the famous temple of Goddess Mahalaxmi in the city to the Radio City studio.

Tamhankar participated in the rally along with the RJs of the FM channel accompanied by a band of artists playing Kolhapuri music.

Commenting on the launch, Abraham Thomas, CEO, Music Broadcast Limited said:  Kolhapur being one of the fastest growing cities of Maharashtra, we are all geared up to redefine radio entertainment post carving our footprint in metropolitan and Tier 2 cities.”
