Radio Pakistan ups power in DI Khan

The state-owned public broadcaster of Pakistan, Radio Pakistan has installed a new high power transmitter at Dera Ismail Khan, 320 km west of Lahore.

It broadcasts on medium wave at AM1400 in the region.

The upgrade is a part of its plan to improve its network, reach and quality of broadcasts in the region, said Samina Parvez , Director General.

Radio Pakistan broadcasts 149 news bulletins in 31 languages daily, covering world, national and regional news as well as sports, business and weather reports.
