Radiodays Asia 2021: New speakers announced

 

Radiodays Asia, which will take the second edition of this event online for 2021, due to the ongoing pandemic, has announced a new set of speakers. 

This virtual event will remain on the dates announced for 2021, 24–26 March and will focus on 'What's next for radio and podcasting in Asia?'

The newly announced speakers include:

Radio Legend Phil Riley, named one of the most influential figures in the first 40 years of commercial radio, Phil spearheaded the West Midlands and London launches of fan-favourite Heart FM.

He joined the Chrysalis Group in 1994, and masterminded the launch and start-up operational phase of both 100.7 Heart FM in the West Midlands and Heart 106.2 FM in London. He played a major role in establishing Chrysalis Radio as one of the leading new entrants in the UK radio industry, and was promoted to the role of Chief Executive in June 1999, joining the plc Board.

 In 2014 he was awarded the Arqiva “Special Award” for his “outstanding and continuing leadership within the radio industry”.

Joining him will be Loretta Lopez, current Programme Director of MONEY FM 89.3, a one-time writer of sitcoms, DJ, broadcaster, producer, trade marketing executive. In 2017, Lopez took the helm of SPH Radio’s youngest radio station as well as Singapore’s first and only Business and Personal finance radio station. In 2020, MONEY FM 89.3 earned the title of Singapore’s Most Influential Station for the third consecutive time.

Radiodays Asia is also pleased to announce Jing Yun, who became a radio presenter in 1997, she is a columnist with Lianhe Zaobao (联合早报) and Shinmin Daily News (新明日报). And has a qualification in English/Chinese translation. She currently holds the position of a Senior Programme Director for both Chinese stations of SPH Radio, Jing Yun is also a senior presenter in 96.3好FM since it first launch in 2018.
