Radiodays Europe 2017 confirms new speakers

Radiodays Europe, the annual conference for the European radio industry and a destination for radio people from around the world, has announced four new confirmed speakers for its next edition.

The eighth edition of the event will be held in Amsterdam next year from March 19 to 21.

The event has become Europe’s largest radio conference and next year will be its eighth edition, featuring more than 120 speakers over 50+ sessions.

Radiodays Europe has previously been in held in Copenhagen, Barcelona, Berlin, Dublin, Milan and this year in Paris.

The new confirmed speakers are:

Craig Bruce, talent coach and producer of the Game Changers Radio Podcast, Australia. Craig is the former Head of Content at Southern Cross Austereo, responsible for getting some of Australia’s best talent on the radio.

He also presents the highly successful Game Changers: Radio podcasts, where some the best on-air talent in the business share their stories.

The series, in its third season now, has been nominated for Best Podcast in Mumbrella’s Publish Awards and downloaded 62617 times since its launch in April this year.

Stephanie Hirst, award-winning radio DJ, TV-host, and icon of the UK transgender community, UK. Since transitioning from Simon Hirst in 2014, Stephanie returned to radio in 2015 with her own show on BBC Manchester.

Steve Reynolds, Creative Coach, USA. Steve is known for successfully coaching several morning shows across the USA He will share his “secret sauce” for how to motivate talent and manage creative broadcast teams.

Jacqueline Bierhorst, Director of Digital Radio+, Netherlands. She will speak about the digital radio oppourtunities and challenges in the Netherlands.

Previously confirmed speakers include Jeff Smith, Head of Music for BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music, UK; Valerie Weber, Director WDR, Germany; Mark Kaye, award-winning radio personality and social media star on Snapchat, USA; Dermot Whelan, comedian and radio presenter on Today FM, Ireland, Marc Haberland, Vice-PD at 104.6 RTL Berlin, Germany; Charlotte Pudlowski, Journalist and head of audio at Slate, France; and Simon Gooch,Innovation Director at Swedish Radio, Sweden.
