RAM Week 5: Big FM slips back to second place in Mumbai

The latest data for RAM subscribers in India for Week 5 from January 25 to 31 is in and Big FM, which displaced Radio City to take the top spot in Mumbai last week, is back at the second spot.

In Mumbai, Big FM lost 1 percent from last week to show 18.3 percent market share and slipped to second spot as Radio City reclaimed the top spot with 18.9 percent.

Big FM had the highest Time Spent Listening (TSL) score of 6.44 and its retro show ‘Suhana Safar with Anu Kapoor’ was the top show with the highest TARP of 3.8 in the 12+ age group.

Both stations were tied at the top spot in Week 3.

There was also a change in the third and fourth positions as Fever 104 FM overtook Radio Mirchi to take the third place with 13.4 percent market share compared to Mirchi’s 13.3 percent.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi maintained its top spot with 20.7 percent share, compared to 20.1 percent last week.

Big FM was second with 16.3 percent – same as last week – followed by Oye! FM with 10.5 percent and local station Aamar FM with 10.2 percent share.

In Delhi, Fever continued to increase its lead with 19.8 percent share – a gain of 0.6 percent from last week – and the highest TSL of 5.23.

There was a shuffle in the next three spots as Radio City climbed up from last week’s fourth position to second position this week with 12.9 percent share.

It was followed closely by Radio Mirchi – which was second last week – with 12.7 percent and Big FM with 12.6 percent.

In Banagalore, there was no change in the top three as Radio City continued to lead with 23.3 percent share.

It was followed by Big FM with 22.4 percent and Radio Mirchi with 16.9 percent.
