RCS partners MI Radio in Myanmar

After adding to its global reach with Bangladesh earlier in 2017, RCS has now partnered with The Monnect Group in Myanmar.

RCS engineer Somchai Sonkrud installed the integrated GSelector and Zetta products in Myanmar and trained the MI Radio staff.

“They were all very excited about their brand new radio station,” says Somacchi, “They have built great looking studios and are using best practice software from the World’s Largest Broadcast software company.”

RCS Thailand Managing Director Richie Oliver who was the Project Manager for the Myanmar install commented: “We really enjoyed this project and while there was some difficulty with the hardware supply chain in that region, the outcome was terrific and you could see it on the employees faces and more importantly hear the difference on the radio”

The Monnect Group, based in Yangon, Myanmar, operates MI Radio (Myanmar International Radio) which plays a mix of international and local hits.

Monnect is the branch company of Global CAMG (Australia) in Myanmar and has established itself as a local media group through local and international multimedia platform.

The Global CAMG group runs nearly 100 radio frequencies and TV Channels, internet, social media and print media through its subsidiaries in New Zealand, Korea, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Afghanistan and Nepal.
