RED FM partners Jaipur lit fest

 

India’s 93.5 RED FM was the official radio partner of the Jaipur Literature Festival 2016 – the world’s largest free literary festival.

The five-day lit fest, held from January 21 to 25, aimed to celebrate and foster the culture of reading, writing and publishing of literature, bringing together some of the greatest thinkers and writers from across South Asia and the world.

As its partner, RED FM gave an opportunity to book lovers to participate in the numerous talks, debates, and readings during the festival.

Prime time RJ’s from RED FM were also present at the event.

RJ Kavya, RJ Ravinder and RJ Ankush from Jaipur station along with Delhi’s RJ Raunaq and RJ Sachin gave daily live updates from the venue with exclusive interviews with delegates like Gulzar, Amish, Javed Akhtar, Karan Johar, Barkha Dutt, Anupam Kher, Jairam Ramesh, Barkha Dutt, Baichung Bhutia,  Anil Kumble, Meera Sayal etc.

 The station also ran an on air contest called ‘Ek Kahani Fataphat’, where leading RJs asked the listeners to share a one page story on any genre.

The winning entry from Delhi was from Tanvi Bhati, a student in Miranda College and a freelance writer. Aditi, a law student, was the winner from Jaipur.

The winners got a chance to attend JLF as a delegate.

Commenting on the association, Nisha Narayanan, COO, 93.5 RED FM, said; “It goes well with our imagery of a thinker and doer brand. A large number of footfalls in the festival are the youth which will further help us engage with our core TG strongly both in social media as well on-ground.”
