Red FM partners traffic police for road safety campaign

Indian network 93.5 Red FM’s Mumbai station, in association with Thane Traffic Police, organised TEAM (Traffic Education and Awareness Mission), a week-long road safety mission to educate the citizens of Mumbai about basic traffic sense.

The event began on January 6 with speeches by renowned dignitaries like DCP Sandeep Palve (Traffic, Thane City), Actor Milind Gunaji, Actor Shekhar Suman, Param Bir Singh (Commissioner of Police, Thane City), RJ Rishi Kapoor and Actor Preeti Jhangiani.

On January 7, a Women’s Bike Rally was conducted, which was flagged off by RJ Nassar and actress Amrita Rao.  

January 8 saw the Men’s Bike Rally which was flagged off by RJ JMAN and Actress Shriya Saran.

On January 10, the “Aao Bachon Tumhe Sikhayein” (Come children, let us teach you) initiative was conducted for about 1200 school children, encouraging them to become responsible citizens.  The session was accompanied by a number of competitions for the children.

 On January 12, the station organised an event to make people aware of basic traffic regulations like giving way to ambulances, wrong side parking, breaking signals and double parking. Station RJs shamed the wrong-doers on air in order to cultivate a strong civic sense in them.
