Registrations open for ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium 2019

 

Registrations are now open for the 2019 ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium (DBS), which will take place at Kuala Lumpur from March 4 to 7.

The 15th in this series, the event is an annual symposium staged by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) to support its members and other radio and television broadcasters and the media industry

The theme of the 2019 event is ‘Digital Transition & Transformation’.

It comprises of an international conference, focused workshops and an industry exhibition showcasing the latest technologies and services from around the world. It provides a platform to share expertise and experiences, network with like-minded colleagues, showcase and embrace advancing technologies and today’s content ideas and approach.

The three-day DBS Conference sessions will focus on how the industry is developing and what new technologies and solutions are currently available and can be anticipated in the near future. It also shares experiences and expert views on how available technologies and solutions are effectively deployed by other organisations.

The industry exhibition showcases latest technologies and solutions from industry-leading manufacturers and solution providers. It provides the opportunity to work and experience with new equipment, explore its features and the chance to discuss with the relevant experts.

Focused workshops presented by manufacturers, experts and solution providers a great opportunity to learn and understand more about the application and implementation of specific technologies and how best to use them in a given environment.

Key sessions include a session on ‘Broadcasting Business and Strategies for the Future’ on Day 1, which explores the challenges and opportunities the current media market provides going forward and a session on ‘The Future of Radio – Digital Radio, Podcasting and Audio Streaming’ on Day 2.
