Malaysian Chinese station MY FM put on a lavish music, dance and drama show to celebrate its 15th anniversary on Saturday.

The Astro-owned station hired out Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Jalil Putra Indoor Stadium and invited more than a dozen Mandarin pop stars from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, China and Malaysia.

Artists included Hins Cheung, Kary Ng, Olivia Ong, AK, You Sheng, Ming Bridges, ThomasJack, Peace Teo, Alvin Chong and Nicole Lai.

The show was watched by a 14,000 strong crowd.

The birthday bash centred around the story of a King and Queen who were searching for husbands for their five beloved princesses.

MY-FM DJs played the main characters in a show that will be broadcast on Astro TV’s Chinese channels in September.

The show cost a million Malaysian ringitt (US$300,000) to put on and was co-sponsored by Shokubutsu Shower Gel.
