Singapore’s UFM100.3 will reveal the number 1 most voted song of its signature music chart event, U1000 Music Countdown ((U选1000) this Friday.
This year marks the sixth year of U1000 Music Countdown and the highly anticipated U1000 finale will be held at the atrium of Chinatown Point.
The event will be broadcasted live on UFM100.3 from 10am to 8pm.
Local band PSquare will also be performing a medley after the U1000 number 1 song is revealed.
Close to 3,000 fans attended the event at Bugis Junction last year, despite a downpour prior to the final countdown of 2017's number 1 song.
To date, Taiwanese band Mayday has the highest number of songs charted in the U1000 Music Countdown, with 25 songs on the chart. Singers like Jay Chou, JJ Lin, A-Mei, Stefanie Sun and Fish Leong are also strong contenders with each having at least 10 songs on the U1000 chart.
In 2017, Mayday and Jay Chou took the positions of the band and artiste with the most number of songs on the chart respectively.
