WorldDAB and ABU’s webinar on DAB+ later this month

 

WorldDAB and Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) are set to host a free DAB+ technical webinar series on Digital Radio Technology-Implementation and Rollout on October 20, 21 and 22.

The series will have topics and speakers tailored to the specific needs and interests of broadcasters in the Asia-Pacific region.
 
Topics include the status of DAB+ across the APAC region and a presentation of an overview of DAB system features, as well as featuring presentations from Australian broadcasters SCA and SBS on how DAB+ has allowed them to extend their brands, offering listeners more choice and multi-language programs.
 
Day 2 will focus on how to establish the DAB market, in cars as well as in the home, before addressing technical aspects of DAB+ such as encoding, multiplexing and transmission.
 
Day 3 will focus on the DAB+ transmission system and what modern transmitters can offer, DAB+ network design, SFN examples, and the commercial and technical business cases for DAB+.
 
Speakers include the CEO of Commercial Radio AustraliaJoan WarnerAdam Williscroft from SCA and Andrew Bolton from SBS.
