Yasmeen Khan, presenter of talkRADIO’s weekly Drivetime show took home the much sought after ‘Radio Presenter of the Year’ award at the 2016 Asian Media Awards on October 27.

The award acknowledges a radio presenter who has helped to sustain high standards over a period of time both in creativity and in innovation.

Khan has presented the weekly talkRADIO show on Fridays from 4 pnm to 7 pm since the station’s launch in March 2016.

She has also hosted many lively topical phone-in shows for the BBC Asian Network and BBC Radio London prior to joining the talkRADIO team, and is also an award-winning playwright and arts diversity champion, regularly hosting Q&A sessions with high-profile directors and actors at theatre and film screenings.
