Veteran Financial Journalist Apple Ho has been promoted to Deputy Director, News and Public Affairs at Hong Kong Commercial Radio. She now helps oversee the programming of the radio station, in addition to co-hosting Financial Plaza every Monday to Friday 5pm to 6pm.

Febby Lomena is no longer working as an Announcer at Hitz Radio FM. Having joined the station in September 2014, Febby previously presented the HITZATHLON programme that aired every Monday to Friday. She previously worked as an Announcer at Star Radio Tangerang.

Jeff Kimmel has joined Media Sales software provider, Wedel Software as President of Sales for North America. He will also be support Wedel’s growing portfolio of regional and national accounts.

Ryoichi Ueda was appointed the new President of NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) in January 2017. He took over from Katsuto Momii.

Ueda, 67, joined Mitsubishi Corporation after graduating from university. He later became the President of Mitsubishi International Corporation and also served as Chief Financial Officer and a Senior Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Corporation.

In June of 2013, Mr Ueda became a full-time board governor of NHK and has served on its Audit Committee since the following month.

Ninjjamts Luvsandash was appointed General Director of Mongolian National Public Radio and Television (MNB) in February 2017.

With a media career spanning over 20 years, she has formerly been Editor in Chief at Toli Newspaper, Chief of Administration Department of Mongolian National Public Radio and Television, Chief of Media Centre at Cabinet Secretariat of Government of Mongolia, the Press agent of the Prime Minister, Executive Director Mongolian Newspaper Association and Exeutive Director of Ugluunii sonin.

Mediacorp CEO Shaun Seow will be leaving Mediacorp to join its parent company, Temasek. He will continue with his duties and assist in the transition till September 30.

Shaun Seow was appointed to his current role in July 2011 after holding various leadership roles across the company’s TV, radio, print and digital businesses.

Olya Booyar has joined Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) as Head of Radio Programming – Designate. She has previously worked for ABU as  Senior Communications Specialist from 2012 to 2015, revamping and managing communications, publications and regional capacity building initiatives.

Saqib Sheikh is leaving the Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcast Development (AIBD) after 6 years, to take up a university teaching role.

He joined AIBD as a Programme Manager in April 2011 after previously working in the advertising and public relations industries, working as a copywriter in Islamabad, Pakistan and account coordinator for a public relations firm in New York City. He has also completed stints in international agencies such as the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and the International Center for Transitional Justice.

Atul Razdan joins Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (RBNL), which operates Big FM in India, as the National Programming Head.

With over 14 years of experience in consumer insights, product development and communications, his previous career stints have been with Hershey's India Pvt Ltd and Cadbury India Ltd.

Atul will lead content development initiatives for the existing network of 45 Radio stations as well as upcoming launches in 14 new cities.

Rabi KC has left the Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcast Development after 4 years as Program Manager in Kuala Lumpur. He was previously a Broadcast Engineer at Kantipur FM and a technical officer at ACORAB in Nepal. Rabi will return to Nepal to use his knowledge in his home country.
