Ryoichi Ueda

Ryoichi Ueda was appointed the new President of NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) in January 2017. He took over from Katsuto Momii.

Ueda, 67, joined Mitsubishi Corporation after graduating from university. He later became the President of Mitsubishi International Corporation and also served as Chief Financial Officer and a Senior Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Corporation.

In June of 2013, Mr Ueda became a full-time board governor of NHK and has served on its Audit Committee since the following month.
