After working at Magic FM Port Augusta as a breakfast announcer/newsreader for 19 months, Bethany Larsen is taking up an announcer position with SCA Hot FM Townsville. She will finish at Magic at the end of October.  This will be Beth's second job in commercial radio and will mean being back in her home state of Queensland.

One of Australia’s most respected sports presenters, Peter Donegan is embarking on a new project to celebrate the lives of Australia’s best sportspeople. Launched last weekend, Donegan will host a new radio program, This Is Your Sporting Life, airing each Sunday at 7.30am on SEN and partnered by Tobin Brothers.

Ugly Phil O'Neil told radioinfo at the ACRAs that he will return to Sydney in December to host mornings on Triple M, replacing Anthony Maroon. He is currently on air at Triple M Brisbane.

The Doctor has quit triple j. In January 2005, Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall clocked on for his first triple j Breakfast show. 10 years later, The Doctor has registered 2,200 radio shows, with over 6,100 hours on air, through Brekkie shows with Jay Whalley, Myf Warhurst, Marieke Hardy and Robbie Buck, as well as his own Drive show for the last 5 years.

A new Board of Directors has been appointed for industry body Commercial Radio Australia. Adam Lang, Managing Director of Fairfax Radio Network was elected as chairman of CRA, replacing outgoing Chairman, Rhys Holleran, CEO of Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) who completed his second term from 2012 – 2013, having also been Chairman from 2001 – 2004 and remains on the Board.

Former ABC Coast FM announcer John Stokes has passed away after a long battle with cancer. In radio for 29 years, 'Stokesy' was part of the original team at ABC Coast FM on the Gold Coast in the eighties. He moved to the Sunshine coast in 1993.

3AW and Magic 1278 General Manager Shane Healy has resigned and will leave the network after 25 years. Healy joined 3AW in 1989 as Sports Director and also called AFL football with Rex Hunt for six years during the 1990’s.  He was appointed General Manager of 3AW in 2003 and has led the station to its dominant Number One position in the Melbourne market, a mantle it has held consistently for more than a decade.

Along with the rebranding of SAFM Adelaide to hit107 comes a new breakfast duo in the form of Amos & Dani. Amos Gill is an Adelaide local with a background in comedy. Dani Pola is being billed as the "glamour girl-next-door", soon to "become everyone's BFF". That's Best Friend Forever, in case you didn't know.

Perth's mix94.5 has announced a new show to take over the weekend breakfast show and it is...."Courtney & Eli". The boys got their start making news comedy videos for Perth Now and Access31 before the "Chaser" team encouraged them to take up a successful stint at 92.9 and mix94.5 doing the late night shift. Now they have graduated to weekend breakfast and say they plan to "bring a fresh batch of steamy hot banter to kick-start your weekend and assist with the roll out of bed".

Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones and Amanda Keller have renewed their contracts with WSFM breakfast for three more years. Currently in their ninth year on air together, 2014 has been a good year for Jonesy & Amanda, scoring top spot in the FM breakfast rankings for four out of the six surveys.

Heart 107.3's Kim Napier has decided to split withon air breakfast partner Dave. She has told her Hobart listeners that she is looking forward to freeing up her mornings and spending time with her family back in Adelaide.

Bob Rogers has renewed his contract with 2CH on air in 'verbal' agreement with station owner, John Singleton. The 10 year deal is an ambitious undertaking for 2CH with Rogers turning 88 in December.

In a company reshuffle, Guy Dobson has been appointed Executive Director of Metropolitan Operations, and Rick Lenarcic (pictured) takes the position of Executive Director of Regional Operations. The pair will oversee the provision of content, innovation, client solutions, and lead teams of national specialists plus local general managers from a strategic and operational perspective.

6PR presenter Paul Murray has announced that he will be stepping down as Drive presenter at the end of 2014. Murray said he felt the time is right for him to step back from full-time work.

Fairfax Media and Southern Cross Austereo will both be without company chairmen in the coming financial year, as Roger Corbett (pictured) and Max Moore-Wilton both step down from their positions.
